You must NEVER stop learning! I am always reading and taking course to be better – learn more, be more. Here is a list of my current reads, courses, and reference books. Here are the things I have been reading up on to point me in the direction of owning my life.
To understand making money online you need to understand marketing. We are marketed to everyday, all the time. From the shoes you put on to the makeup you wear – the worlds marketers are telling you exactly how to be and how which products will make you that person. If you have a keen interest in diving into marketing like I do this is the book for you.
The Middle Finger Project – Ash Ambirge
Trash your imposter syndrome and be badass. This might be one of my favourite books I have read so far in 2020. Ash has the voice of a story teller and I love it. She is hilarious and to the point and is so darn badass she will tell you exactly how it is. Her story is unique but the concepts ring true – we can all make something of ourself if we work hard and show up for ourselves everyday.
The Four Hour Work Week – Tim Ferris
I first picked up a copy of this book back in 2010. It has been marked up and written in while I go about my life doing other things. I just started to reread this gem to really try and make use of Tim’s advice in creating the life I want. Owning your own life and putting yourself in the power seat is exactly what we should all be doing. If you want to figure out how to break out of the 9-5 – this one is for you.
This bad boy has been on my reading list for years. It has come recommended by so many people. Must read!
The power of human connection: understanding people. If you can understand how the human is and what humans need – you will grow your friend circle and business circle at a rapid rate. This book was written ages ago but the premise on how to be a better human hasn’t changes. Need to figure out how to get the world on your side – this one is for you. It was a bit of a dry read but the information = priceless.
On Writing Well – Willian Zinsser
I finished my degree with a focus in creative writing and a burning love for creative non-fiction. Sometimes I just need a bit of a refresher on how to get my point across in the most efficient and effective manner. William Zinsser is the answer – writing is at the epicentre of pretty much everything you do online. To carefully curate a blog post or a email so someone understands and can relate to your story is essential. If you are looking at improving your non fiction writing skills this is the book for you.
